Calero County Park, in South San Jose, has opened up some trails to mountain biking. they are beginner friendly trails, with little to no technical challenge (think Alum Rock Park or Fremont Older.) the feedback Calero has been AWESOME!!! This place is definitely our Fremont Older South San Jose area. The trails are well groomed and not very steep, in most cases, and feature a good flow to them. There is nothing terrible in the way of technical challenges so newer riders should feel comfortable
